Playboy, the age-old and famous men’s eye-pleasing magazine, has released its list of the United States’ top party schools of the year, according to USA Today on Wednesday. In its eighth year of compiling such a list, this year there is a new number one on the list which is West Virginia University which is located in Morgantown, West Virginia.
The reason Playboy gave the top ranking in partying to West Virginia University is because it has party-hardy activities on campus such as its Fall Fest and its St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The publication says that the anarchy that developed last fall after the school’s football team defeated the University of Texas came into play as well.
Playboy claims that West Virginia University’s locals call Morgantown a drinking town with a football problem.
Last year’s number one party school, the University of Virginia, didn’t even make the top ten this year. Maybe they did their best to avoid the honor this year? Nonetheless, here they are…
The Top Ten Party Schools of 2013
- West Virginia University
- University of Wisconsin
- University of Colorado
- University of Southern California
- Florida State University
- University of Texas
- Louisiana State University
- University of Georgia
- Arizona State University
- University of Maryland
Besides Playboy-data driven methods, feedback from Playboy magazine’s more than 12 million social media fans devised the list.
