Who doesn't love the fairy-tale excitement of young (and old) love culminating in marriage vows? The purity, glamour and heady romance draw us in, along with the forever promise of the 'til death do us part' vows of our favorite celebrity couples.

2010 was a banner year for celebrity newlyweds, and the top ten honors go to the following:

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem

The mysterious couple kept their wedding plans a secret until they tied the knot in a small intimate July wedding in the Bahamas. Cruz and Bardem met in 1992, while filming the Spanish drama Jamon Jamon, but didn't date until 2007. In the movie, Bardem played a hopeful underwear model who was paid to sweep Cruz off her feet, just like in real life (without payment, of course).

Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart

A fortunate 2002 Golden Globes meeting led to an eight-year dating relationship, before Ford and Flockhart sealed the super-secret deal in June 2010, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The thrice-married Ford wore jeans to his wedding, which occurred on his day off from filming Cowboys & Aliens.

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher

The Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia, was the upscale location for the July union of songstress Underwood and her Ottawa Senators' hockey star. The wedding was dubbed "lavish, but down-to-earth" - and that earthiness cost an estimated $500,000.

Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky

The longtime love, of Clinton and Mezvinsky, culminated in a wedding for a princess, with a price tag to match. CBS News estimated that the elegant affair may have cost former U.S. President Bill Clinton $2 million in pocket change.

Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie

Canadian Hockey players have a thing for Hollywood performers this year, as Mike Comrie followed in Mike Fisher's footsteps by marrying his actress girlfriend Hilary Duff just one month after Mike Fisher scored Carrie Underwood as his wife. The happily-married couple met in 2007, through a mutual friend, during a trip to Idaho.

Kyla Weber and Vince Vaughn

Longtime Bachelor Vaughn settled down with real estate agent Weber in January, after meeting in Los Angeles at the wedding of a friend. A $125,000 4-carat diamond sealed the engagement. The happy couple is expectly awaiting their first child.

Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy

New parents Frankel and Hoppy were married at the Four Seasons restaurant in March, compliments of Bravo. The ceremony was a fitting single-life send-off for the Real Housewives of New York City and Bethenny's Getting Married reality star.

LaLa Vasquez and Carmelo Anthony

After a six-year engagement and the birth of a son, NBA star Anthony finally made it down the aisle toward wedded bliss with MTV veejay LaLa Vasquez. Their 3-year-old son, Kiyan, was a part of the wedding which aired this month on VH1.

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom

The Lord of the Rings star quickly married his Victoria's Secret angel in July, and shortly after, announced the news that they were soon to be parents. The newlyweds have been practicing their parenting skills with Frankie, a cute-as-a-button Yorkie.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz

Singer Alicia Keys married her rapper boyfriend Swizz Beatz (Kasseem Dean) in July, on the Island of Corsica. They invited a small group of family members and close friends to the Mediterranean wedding getaway, which was officiated by Deepak Chopra.
