Top teams in NFL power rankings mostly lose in Week 15

The NFL power rankings after Week 15 look better for a lot of lower ranked teams on Dec. 17. Many of the top ones were knocked off, so the top of the power rankings had to hold almost by default. Meanwhile, here is the new order of teams from No. 32 to No. 11, as some did gain traction from their upset victories.

Meanwhile, four out of the top 10 teams in the power rankings are coming off losses, in a week where six out of the eight divisional leaders before Week 15 lost. Yet with the remaining doubts about the likes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Carolina Panthers, and with the San Francisco 49ers having lost to two other 10-4 teams, there really couldn’t be a heavy shift in the standings. However, there is a very clear cut No. 1 to make up for it.

The accompanying slideshows lists the elite of the NFL power rankings -- despite how some still have a ways to go to be elite, even at this stage.
