Top seeded Dinos pound Pronghorns Friday

According to the Canadian Interuniversity Sport website, the University of Calgary Dinos pounded the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns 14-2 in Canadian Interuniversity Sport hockey action at Calgary's Father David Bauer Arena on Friday.

The Dinos are the first ranked university hockey team in Canada and looked like an elite squad last night. Former Moose Jaw Warrior Spencer Edwards of Coquitlam, British Columbia and former Spokane Chief Dylan Walchuk of McBride, British Columbia each had five points. Edwards had four goals and one assist and Walchuk had one goal and four assists.

With the victory, the Dinos improved to 16-0-1 and have a three point lead over their archrival, the University of Alberta Golden Bears in the Canada West standings. The Dinos have been so dominant, that they have outscored their opponents 90-27. Their only loss this season came to the Golden Bears in a 3-2 overtime defeat on November 23.

The Dinos next play in Lethbridge on Saturday night with their next home game against the University of Manitoba Bisons on Friday.
