Boston College rolled to a sweep in a home and home series with UMass Lowell, scoring 10 goals in the two games. Bill Arnold was named Hockey East Player of the Month registering 6 goals and 12 points.

2. Merrimack Warriors: (6-0-0) (W, 4-1 UVM, W, 4-2 UVM)
Merrimack remained the only unbeaten team in Hockey East with two methodical road wins at Vermont. Joe Cannata has been fantastic in net for the Warriors, posting a .938 SP and a 1.40 GAA.

3. Maine Black Bears: (3-2-1) (W, 5-4 PC, W, 3-1 PC)
The Black Bears took care of business on home ice with a weekend sweep of the Providence Friars. Joey Diamond had a monster game on Friday night as he scored twice and added the primary helper on the game-winning overtime goal.

4. Boston University Terriers: (3-2-1) (T, 2-2 UMA, W, 5-4 UMA)
The Terriers came away with 3 points in two close contests against in-state rival Massachusetts. Matt Nieto, who had 5 points in the two games, scored the game winning goal in overtime on Saturday night.

5. New Hampshire Wildcats: (2-4-1) (W, 2-1 Union, W, 5-2 NU)
The Wildcats make a huge jump in the rankings after two home wins against Union and Northeastern. Mike Borisenok scored his first two goals of the season in the first period on Saturday night.

6. Providence Friars: (2-3-1) (L, 5-4 ME, L, 3-1 ME)
The Friars came back to earth with two road losses in hostile Alfond Arena. Providence has shown the ability to score so far in this young season, but will need to improve on their 3.71 GAA to be a serious contender in the league.

7. Massachusetts Minutemen: (1-3-2) (T, 2-2 BU, L, 5-4 BU)
Despite only earning a single point for their effort, the Minutemen proved that they have the tools to be competitive against the top half of the conference. UMass was leading BU after two periods in both contests, but fell victim to late Terrier rallies.

8. UMass Lowell River Hawks: (2-3-0) (L, 4-2 BC, L, 6-3 BC)
It was an ugly weekend for the River Hawks, who were doubled up twice by the #1 ranked Eagles. Matt Ferreira did score his team leading 3rd goal of the season on Friday night.

9. Northeastern Huskies: (1-4-1) (L, 5-2 UNH)
The Huskies were down only 3-2 when the Whittemore Center lost power early in the 3rd period, but the scoreboard read 5-2 when the final buzzer sounded. Freshman Ludwig Karlsson did hit the back of the net for Northeastern; the rookie now has five points in four games.

10. Vermont Catamounts: (1-3-0) (L, 4-1 MC, L, 4-2 MC)
Vermont drops to the bottom of the rankings because of their inability to earn a point at home against Merrimack. The Catamounts, who have been outscored 18-8 this season, will travel to Providence in search of their first conference victory.
