Top percentage shooters in D1, 2012-13 season (Photos)

Here's a story about those guys who never seem to miss a shot: these are those big guys, mostly forwards and centers, who shoot the ten foot jump shot and get a lot of layups and dunks. Average size guys can't relate to that shot selection until we see the six foot ten guys doing it on television and then it occurs to us it's easier to stand near the paint when you're tall...these guys, though, have to have quickness and some trickery to shoot so well; after all, there are a lot of six ten guys in D1 ball.

I collected the stats from current numbers so they're accurate for games played through February 3, 2013.

Most of these great shooters play for good teams and a lot play for really good teams; of the top 20 shooters only one is on a losing team: that's Dantiel Daniels who plays for Southern Illinois University. Only one player, Victor Olapido of Indiana, is a guard: the others are centers and forwards.
