There is always some event in Orange County for residents and visitors alike to enjoy, and this week is no different. Among the special events these four offer a variety of things to see and do, from stage shows to the outdoors to movies.
1.. Rain: A Tribute to The Beatles

Rain comes to Southern California direct from Broadway with a live onstage performance that includes some of the songs the Beatles recorded in the studio, but never performed themselves for an audience. This is an evening filled with the songs of the Beatles, from their earliest hits to later classics the concert will take you back to the days when the Beatles reigned supreme.
Tickets start at $30 and can be purchased from Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
2. 24th Annual Earth Day at Back Bay

Earth Day 2014 is sponsored by the Newport Bay Conservancy, a neighborhood event for the entire family, giving them the insight into the importance of our natural surroundings and how we can protect them. The many exhibitors include, Sea and Sage Audubon, the American Cetacean Society, and the Encieonmental Nature Center. The Orange County Bird of Prey Organization will have live raptors on display as they explain how important they are to the environment.
Earth Day also has fun for the kids with Arts & Crafts activity booths, a scavenger hunt, live plants from the region for sale and live music for all to enjoy. The event is free to everyone, food will be available for purchase from Burnt Truck, Tamarindo and Front Porch Pops.
3. Newport Beach Film Festival

This year the Newport Beach Film Festival opens on April 24 with 'Lovesick' followed by a gala opening night reception under the stars in Fashion Island. The reception will feature tastings from 25 of Orange County's premier restaurants, live music and a hosted bar by Stella Artois. The price for the film and gala is $175 and can be purchased online.
The film festival which runs until May 1 showcases a list of classical and contemporary films from around the world, at different venues around Newport Beach. Information on purchasing tickets to individual events.
4. Flamenco Abierto

In the backstage terrace, scene shop and stage house attendees will be treated to some of the most interactive Flamingo, by a dozen of California's recognized Flamengo dancers led by Yaelisa, dancer and artistic director of the festival.
