Why do people think they can exercise their way out of a bad diet? The average American, uh, wait, with the rampant fast food places now in many countries of the world, I'll restate that. The average person often eats what many call the Standard American Diet, or SAD for short. That is a diet of mostly processed food - much bought on the run from fast food restaurants. Hmm, maybe fast food places shouldn't even be called restaurants?

I've been writing and promoting fresh homemade juices for some time now and I've pointed out how GREEN juice in particular are sooo much better for boosting energy than sugary coffee drinks from Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's, and Starbucks.

The only good thing I know about Dunkin Donuts is they do tend to reuse previous structures when they start up a new location - there's one near us that's under construction from a former foundation, structure, and roof of another building. (No doubt that saves them a lot of money).

Point is, I don't think there's anything healthy about anything they sell. Nor do I go to Starbucks, McDonald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, etc. because there's so much healthier ways to get a yummy boost of energy!

Grab these ingredients and make this nutritious and delicious fresh GREEN juice!

Processed sugar is contributing vastly to people's ill health. I am so glad many are waking up to this fact!

I'm preparing to go on a juice fast again - I truly believe it's the best thing you can do to unburden your body of toxins, allow the body to rebuild and heal on a cellular level, and provide aWEsOMe ENERGY!! Your skin will glow, wrinkles release, you'll lose weight (especially fat and toxins), and overall FEEL better! Everytime I go on a juice fast I feel lighter and younger!

So if you're an exercise addict, but you still eat the average SAD diet, try adding a juice like this each day for a week then, tell me what you think! I bet even by day 3 you're going to see, feel, and experience rejuvenation!

I've lost friends recently due to heart problems, heart attack, cardiac arrest, etc. The more I think about them, I know they did so many good things for their body: exercising, working outside in nature, walking in the woods, lifting weights, thinking good thoughts, even eating fruit and veggies from their garden, or from farmers markets, but was there something missing from their overall lifestyle? What factors contributed to their passing?

Could juicing have helped my friends live longer? I don't know. But I do believe most of us, including me, could do more to help our bodies rebuild and renew. I keep telling people, what can it hurt to add more fruit and veggies into your diet? It can ONLY HELP!!

For some reason many people think they need some authority (doctor or other) to tell them what to eat and drink! Bogus! Use your common sense! Look at history. People didn't start having all the illness we have today before processed sugar, and flour were readily available! It just doesn't pass the sanity test to think we can put crap into our body and experience wonderful health. You cannot exercise away a bad diet!

I am committed to help get the word out and teach people the benefits of juicing.

Once you discover how easy it can be, and how much better you'll feel, my hope is that you'll make juicing a daily event in your home!

----------------------- Sheila's Easy GREEN juice -----------------------

Best with all fresh organic ingredients:

  • 1 bunch local organic large leaf kale (large leaves are easier to process than pieces)
  • 1 head of celery
  • 1/3 bunch of parsley
  • 1 cucumber (if not organic, peel it)
  • 1 lemon (peeled)
  • 2 pieces fresh ginger root (peeled thumb size pieces, this adds zip!)

Optional additions:

  • Dehydrated wheatgrass powder
  • 1 green apple
  • Strawberries (tops and all if organic) or other berries
  • Pineapple
  • Turmeric
  • Half of a jalapeno pepper (this really heats it up, revs metabolism!)
  • 1/3 bunch of cilantro
  • 1/2 beet (so much nutrition in beets, used to be an ingredient in Ovaltine!)
  1. Prep the veggies (grab from fridge, wash, rinse, peel, etc)
  2. Add each to your juice machine (use a good one!)
  3. Pour your juice
  4. Clean / rinse out the juicer
