8 P.M. (WCBS) COLLEGE FOOTBALL Alabama at Florida
8 P.M. (TCM) BALL OF FIRE (1941) Gary Cooper, Barbara Stanwyck, Oscar Homolka, Dana Andrews, and Gene Krupa star in the tale of a night club singer on the lam because her boyfriend (Duryea) is wanted by the police. She finds refuge with a small group of professors through a chance meeting with one of them at the club. Professor Bertram Potts (Cooper) is trying to study American slang in the quest to write a new encyclopedia on all subject matter these merry men are proficient in. Potts invites "Sugarpuss" O'Shea (Stanwyck) to join him and others he has gathered in a group discussion. Sugarpuss worms her way into the professors home and manages to talk them into letting her stay.
8 P.M. (WABC) COLLEGE FOOTBALL Nebraska at Wisconsin
8:30 P.M. (TBS) MLB ALDS The Detroit Tigers and Yankees in Yankee Stadium will attempt to complete the game started last night and halted at the end of the first inning due to rain.The game will start in the 2nd inning with the score tied at 1-1. Game two, assuming tonight's game is not rained out, is now scheduled for Sunday afternoon on TNT.
9 P.M. (OWN) CELINE: 3 BOYS AND A NEW SHOW Celine Dion prepares to retake Las Vegas after giving birth to twin sons.
9 P.M. (13) THE NUN’S STORY (1959) Audrey Hepburn portrays a young nun who becomes a nurse in the Belgian Congo, where she finds herself torn between discipline and rebellion. Peter Finch plays the attractive doctor whose criticism of her religious practices upsets her.
9 P.M. (BBC America) DOCTOR WHO The season finale which finds the doctor (Matt Smith) traveling to the shores of Lake Silencio in Utah.
10 P.M. (BBC America) BEDLAM New series, starring a stylish London apartment building and some sexy tenants. But behind the luxury fittings lurk all sorts of horrors, including tales of abuse from the building’s past as an insane asylum, and ghosts out for revenge. Kate (Charlotte Salt), a sales agent and descendant of those who ran the asylum, is the primary target of the ghouls’ wrath. But she’s not the only one with a dark side. Ashley Madekwe and Will Young play Molly and Ryan, Kate’s roommates; Hugo Speer is her father. And Theo James is Jed, her adopted cousin with a checkered past. He sees dead people.
10 P.M. (Cinemax) BLACK SWAN (2010) Natalie Portman in the role that earned her an Academy Award, stars as Nina, a ballerina teetering on the brink of insanity as she tries to break out of the corps and into the dual lead of “Swan Lake”: the Swan Queen and her villainous black swan twin. Mila Kunis is Lily, the sultry newcomer who is everything the increasingly tormented Nina is not, as their company’s artistic director, Thomas (Vincent Cassel), insists on pointing out. And Barbara Hershey is Nina’s mother, a former dancer who desperately wants her daughter to achieve everything she never could. The result is “a witchy brew of madness and cunning,”
