While the White House warned Congress to not undermine Iran’s nuclear deal with more sanctions, a top Iranian General, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari appears to not agree with the Geneva deal and stated on Wednesday, that either they get full nuclear rights or the deal is invalid.
Jafari, who is the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s chief commander, issued a stern warning that if the U.S. attacks Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iran will destroy Israel.
Reza Kahlili, who worked for the CIA inside Iran during the 1980s and the 1990s and author of “A Time to Betray” broke the story and quoted Jafari as saying, “In case Iranian officials witness any violation or an effort to disregard our country’s inalienable nuclear rights by the West and America taking advantage of the Geneva agreement with their interpretation of it, they should consider the agreement annulled with full authority.”
Kahlili translated Jafari’s comments from an Arab News Agency, TasnimNews.
Kahlili said, “In blunt language, Jafari sneered at the use of the military option against Iran.”
“The repetition of such absurd words by the American officials and the fake, illegitimate and despised Zionist regime Israel has become a joke for the Iranian nation as these officials fully know that they are incapable of such an act, and in case they commit to such a stupid act, there are many options available for Iran and they will receive a full blow, including the annihilation of the Zionist regime,” Jafari said.
In related news, James Rosen of Fox News reported that Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity expanded dramatically on Obama's watch, something Kahlili has written and reported about.
Reports have also circulated that President Obama has been arranging a Tehran visit in 2014.
Reza Kahlili has been on the front lines warning about Iran’s ambitions and has written extensively of the dangers that Iran poses to the world and especially, Israel with its goal of obtaining a nuclear bomb.
