Top Hooker TV series: New show joined by 'Swamp'd' and 'Money Barn'

The Top Hooker TV series has been announced for this coming summer and will be joined by two other shows: "Swamp'd" and "Money Barn." The trifecta of new shows will appear this year on Animal Planet, each involving unique reality TV style focuses.

According to a report on Jan. 30 from The Futon Critic, "Money Barn" will be the first of the three shows to arrive, with a debut in February. The show will be a five-part series of half-hour episodes and features all of the trash and treasures that have been stashed away in American barns. Treasure hunting auctioneers will go through all sorts of items and attempt to bring them back to the auction block's to profit.

The next new show from Animal Planet, "Swamp'd!" seems to take its name from MTV's "Punk'd" in a way. However, it will feature P'Maw's Bait Shack, and all of the "colorful characters" who live in the town of Pierre Part. The series will feature eight 30-minute episodes which focus on the town's unofficial mayor, P'Maw, and his family, as they attempt to go the extra mile to please customers. "Swamp'd!" arrives in the spring of 2013.

Finally, there's "Top Hooker," a competitive series which will have 10 expert fishers split up into two different teams. The teams will go against each other in various challenges involving what else - fish! The new series is said to include some "off-the-hook" challenges for viewers to enjoy, and its first episode will debut later this summer.

All three shows, "Swamp'd," "Money Barn," and "Top Hooker," will be seen on Cox Cable channel 40 in Roanoke.
