'Top Gun' remastered 3D version to hit theaters in 2013

On May 16, 1986, the world saw Kelly McGillis, Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards and a young Tom Skerritt tear up the skies in “Top Gun.” On Friday, February 9, 2013, a new release of the “Top Gun” movie will make it back to theaters.

“Top Gun” is the tale of a group of elite pilots who compete to be the best they can be. Kelly McGillis portrays the flight instructor of Tom Cruise.

“Top Gun” has been re-mastered for the big screen. The company, Legend3D, has converted the original negative scans to the 3D imagery. The new film has been created under the original director’s guidance, Tony Scott.

The depth of the “Top Gun” release has been brought to the surface. Details of the original film have been brought to the forefront with the 3D version. From dogfights to close-ups of the cockpits, each frame will allow viewers to have a new perspective of the original movie “Top Gun.”

The new ‘Top Gun’ film is distributed by Paramount Pictures. “Top Gun” is a dramedy-action film that will have you sitting at the edge of your seats with the new 3D scenery.
