'Top Gun' celebrates 25th anniversary with big screen return

Top Gun is twenty-five years old, and now fans that either missed out on seeing the film on the big screen or want to experience it again will have that chance. Slash Film reported on Tuesday that the film would return to movie theaters, including theaters near to the Scottsdale area, for two showings. AMC Theaters is bringing the film back to the big screen on April 30 and May 2.

Top Gun was one of the films that helped make the career of Tom Cruise. Set at the training school for top fighter pilots, the movie told about a pilot that does things his own way, and while training at Top Gun he meets with one of the instructors and falls in love.

It is hard to believe that this film is twenty-five years old. Check AMC Theaters for the times and theaters airing Top Gun in your local area.
