Top Gear U.K. returns to TV for its 19th season showcasing Pagani Huayra

After taking a 3 month break, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are back at it again as the first episode of the 19th season of Top Gear UK took to the BBC airwaves this past Sunday. It you haven’t heard of Top Gear UK, you've probably heard of U.S. spin off called...Top Gear USA.

The combination of cars, entertainment and all around fun have ranked the show as the world's most widely watched factual television program.Top Gear UK is estimated to have around 350 million views per week in 170 different countries.

In this latest episode of Top Gear UK, Richard Hammond takes a spin in the all new Pagani Huayra, an Italian mid engined supercar capable of top speeds in excess of 230MPH and all powered by a bespoke Mercedes-Benz twin turbo V12.

In addition, the Stig takes the Pagani Huayra around their test track where it sets a new course record, beating the Ariel Atom 500 V8 by a considerable margin.

In the second half of the show, James May takes a Bentley Continental GT Speed of all places, rally driving, piloted by ex-Mini WRC driver Kris Meeke. With 616HP and 590 lb-ft of torque all routed to all four wheels, the Bentley Continental GT Speed did surprisingly well for a car that cost nearly $220,000.

In the last half of the show, HomeLand star Damian Lewis comes in for an interview as a guest in there Star in a reasonably priced car segment.

And finally Jeremy Clarkson reveals his newest creation dubbed the P45, which is smaller than the smallest car in the world, the Peel P50 yet still street legal (according to Clarkson that is).

Overall, this newest episode of Top Gear UK is as entertaining as ever and gives a sneak peek of how the rest of the season will turn out.My suggestion to find a place to watch it, is to google around. There are already a few places have already uploaded it with some good quality audio and video. Or you can wait till February 4, when it will air on US Shores. More info here.
