Top CEO: Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg is ranked numero uno. At least according to Glassdoor. The Facebook top dog earned a 99 percent approval rating from his social network employees, topping Glassdoor's annual list of the 50 top rated CEO's.

Glassdoor surveyed hundreds of thousands of employees across various industries, and based on their feedback over the past 12 months, ranked the most impressive bosses, one of which happens to be the billionaire Zuck.

Facebook workers have apparently been pleased with their fearless leader, boosting him 14 points from last year's list.

Facebook is "an open community from Zuck on down," one anonymous Menlo Park employee said in a statement on Glassdoor. "Mututal trust companywide and sense of community and drive, instilled by our CEO, who we truly respect."

Facebook said in a statement that it recognizes the importance of employee endorsements, stressing that "support from the people closest to you is usually the most gratifying, so high employee sentiment is a particularly meaningful compliment."

Zuckerberg isn't the only tech company head adored by his employees; 18 of the top 50 listed CEOs are at the helm of technology-based organizations, including SAP's Bill McDermott and Jim Hagemann Snabe, who rose seven points from 2012 to tie with Zuckerberg for first place.

Companies who also had their CEO in the top fifty were US Bank, Google, Amazon, Apple, Starbucks, State Farm, Victoria Secrets, US Navy and Publix.
