Top 'Battlefield 4' issues tracker posted by DICE

Battlefield 4 has been beset by issues since its launch on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC followed by the PS4 and Xbox One next-gen consoles. Things have gotten so bad that DICE and EA made the decision to halt work on future expansions until the bugs get sorted out. To that end, the developer released a tracker Tuesday to keep the gaming community up to date on the top issues with the game that are in the process of being fixed.

The issue tracker is actually a forum post on the Battlelog forums which currently contains the top 22 issues with Battlefield 4. The list is not comprehensive as there are a number of smaller bugs being worked on as well but it does mark the current status of the issue as "Fix Live," "Fix in next patch" or "Fixing."

"We at DICE have a long tradition of supporting our games and our community well after the release of a title." Dice wrote in the post. "While millions of players are enjoying Battlefield 4, we are aware that some players are experiencing issues with the game.

"If you are one of them, this Battlefield 4 tracker will give you the latest updates in regards to some of the top issues we are going to fix and fan feedback we’re implementing in the game. We always work with trackers for our games internally which enables us to track and fix bugs as quickly as possible. We’ve never made it external before, but this seems like a great way to keep you constantly updated on how we’re progressing."

Issues marked as fix include a bug that accounts for a quarter of all crashes on the PS4 as well as an issue that can wipe out progress in the single-player campaign on the console. Another bug that is causing the majority of all crashes on all platforms is still in the works.

Battlefield 4 received a patch on the PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC last week but the status of a new Xbox One update is still unknown.
