Top bars to enjoy March Madness in NYC

Hello everyone well the first round of the tournament brought us Harvard winning its first ever NCAA tourney game, Gonzaga barely surviving and a buzzer beater in Marquette's game.

I expect Friday and the following weekend to be just as crazy and I'm just giving you a good list of places to visit for the game especially during your late lunch hours or if you're visiting from out of town.

Local West (1 Penn Plaza, between 33rd and 34th street and 8th Avenue) Good specials going on near Madison Square Garden at this particular spot and they all involve a big promotion with new Jack Daniels Honey. There are $6 Jack Daniel honey wing specials and $5 jack Daniel shooters and $8 jack Daniels Honey cocktails. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm a big Jack Daniel fan and $6 honey wings never sound bad.

Tonic- (411 3rd Avenue corner of 29th street East Side; 727 7th Avenue and 49th Street Times Square) There's two locations but dozens of tv's at each location so that you'll never have to miss a minute of the action. Both of the locations in Midtown East and Times Square make it easy to leave work to watch a little action but they're not the cheapest spots stick to domestic beer if you're on a budget.

AOA (35 6th Avenue off. Lispenard and Walker St.) -Good location in Tribeca and visually stunning. This spot is sometimes slept on but it should never go overlooked with 25 craft beers on tap, $1 oysters and 2 for 1 drinks all for the late afternoon games from 4-7pm.

Local West

Foley's (18 W. 33rd st off 5th Avenue) -Yea I know this place pops up in a lot of my lists but it is a classic Sports Memorobilia bar with lots of people coming at the end of close games on a Friday because they're working in midtown. A good location if people want to go to the Empire State and you just want to watch the game/

200 5th (200 5th Ave. off Union St., Park Slope, Brooklyn) -My favorite Brooklyn Sports bar and pleasant enough to bring a date on side and the other to be an unabashed fan of your favorite team.

Enjoy the games ya'll!!!
