Top 9 Enneagram types worse unhealthy season in 2011

I’m not even going to give a pep talk, or disguise a happy Enneagram Six here, it was a crappy holiday and year and I don’t care who knows it. So this got me to thinking? What are other Enneagram Types who are unhealthy during this holiday season thinking and feeling? Well, why not share a Top 9 List, to clear the dust out of this year and hopefully envision a better 2012.

What was 2011 like for some?

As we continue to try to reflect on improving ourselves to be the best work in progress we can, there are times when we slip up or fall back into our blockage of fear, self-hatred, needing to feel loved or anger at the world. I know more than most how childhood memories and past failures can seem too much sometimes. Many felt the economy hit them hard for many middle class families and the poor. Jobs were at an all-time low. Many couldn’t even feed themselves this year, as Feeding America stated, “Hunger in America exists for nearly 49 million people. That is 1 in 6 of the U.S. population – including more than 1 in 5 children,” and have seen more families and people that have never been to a food bank on the raise this year alone! It wasn’t a happy year for a lot of people.

I well share a silver lining, so there

I’m down about 2011, it happens. So what can we do about it? Well, if you had failures in your life, as a lost job, a home, and issue with feeding your family or paying bills, I will say, there’s still hope to the future. I believe in what a very famous person named JW Rowling’s stated at Harvard. “You will never know yourself or the strength of your relationships, until both have been tested by diversity.

Yes, some are tested more than others, but this is where you find the strength to know that you are strong, and you can handle anything. There are people who give up, and never try because of a core fear or being angry with the world. Even if we are angry or sad, feeling unloved or don’t have all the basic things like food and shelter, there is always time that will make this moment a thing of the past as we move forward.

Now, about that unhealthy Top 9 List, here we go!

  1. The Purist: I can’t wait until this year is over! The economy isn’t right, it’s time we all occupy the streets!
  2. The Assistant: I know I don’t have that much food myself, but I think I can make some homemade cookies and take it down to the local church. That will take my mind off of my own troubles.
  3. The Self-Starter: For the love of Occupy whatever, I just lost all my money in NY’s meltdown scheme. But wait, maybe I can help assist the protesters and make a little something for myself in the process. Perhaps 2012 will shape up!
  4. The Non-conformist: This year sucked! Why do I bother, I’m just going to drink this bottle of wine and sing in the new year with my guitar. Hopefully, I will get a song out of this wasted year!
  5. The Theorist: If people just believe in Science and understand there is climate change the world would be a whole lot better! Is it my fault that no one wanted to buy those wind turbines? It’s sound research! Why is the world so insane!
  6. The Doubter! This whole holiday sucked from no internet, no love, no food, no money, life sucks! I wish I could end it all! (Special Note: this was a Facebook post, sad to say just moments before, which promoted me to blog about it. See I’m productive! I’m back to Average Six now.)
  7. The Explorer: So this whole year blows…what’s the point in complaining, I’m going to hit some wave’s man, need to free the mind.
  8. The Supervisor: How many times did I say those Wind Turbines wouldn't sell, but no, everyone had to press me about Climate Change. How’s that hope and change working for us now! 2012 we’re play by my rules! You're all fired!
  9. The Diplomat: I know the year was bad, but this is a great opportunity to work together in 2012. For right now, I’m heading to Hawaii, because folks are getting on my last nerves.

Check out the video that a friend sent me to cheer me up!

To all of you who like what I have to say from time to time, thank you! Of course everyone, this was all a bit of tongue and cheek to get me out of my funk. Happy Holidays and stay positive for 2012!
