1. Spring Encampment

When: . Sat. 3/27, 9 am- 4 pm

Where: Historic Mansker’s Station, 705 Caldwell Lane, Goodlettsville

Cost: $8 adults, $6 ages 6 - 12, free ages 5 and younger

Observe how people lived on the Tennessee frontier in the late 1700s, view demonstrations and learn from costumed interpreters. 859-3678.




2. Brushing Up

When: Sat. 3/27, 11am

Where: Adventure Science Center, 800 Fort Negley Blvd., Nashville

Cost: $13 (non-members), $8 (members) - must preregister!!

3. Got Science?

Cost: Free with admission ($12 adults, $9 ages 3-12, military and seniors)

4. Family Day

When: Sunday 3/28, 1-5:30pm

Where: Frist Center for the Visual Arts, 919 Broadway, Nashville

Cost: Free

5. Firefighters for Emily — A Benefit Concert

When: Tues. 3/30, 6:30pm

Where: TPAC’s Jackson Hall, 505 Deaderick St., Nashville

Cost: $50

Three-year-old Emily Garrison, daughter of Nashville firefighter Jason Garrison, has battled neuroblastoma since she was 1. This is a very rare cancer of the nervous system, with only about 600 cases known worldwide. A benefit concert featuring The Time Jumpers, The Nashville bluegrass Band, The Bart Walker Blues Band, The Tennessee Mafia Jub Band, Smokehouse Road and more will help offset medical costs. 782-4040.
