No, instead, why not pick up a cool piece of tech, that both can enjoy day in and day out?

Here then are five gadgets that would make for cool gifts on this holiday of love.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9” – This tablet is easily one of the best tablets I’ve ever used, not just because of it’s features, but also due to it’s incredible price point of $379. Even better is that Amazon has it on sale right now for $339, which holds up well to the iPad Air but doesn’t break the bank. It’s lightning quick, has a fantastic screen with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing camera that can do HD as well and is extremely lightweight.

Fitbit Force – This small wristband ($129) is fun to use, thanks in part by an easy-to-follow app that is compatible with iOS and Android. It can tell time, as well as keep track of your daily step count, it counts calories burned, floors climbed, and also lets you record your daily calorie intake as well as being able to wake you up in the morning with a silent alarm. It has a rechargeable battery and is fashionable. For those looking to motivation for working out, the Force is one of those gifts that would be perfect as a pair.

Keurig Brewer (Platinum) – For the coffee lover in your life, perhaps the Keurig Platinum Brewer ($179) is the best gift you can give. As someone who owns one, this brewer can have you drinking a cup of coffee in no time and is perfect for brewing a cup when on the go or for when a carafe is just too much.

PlayStation 4 – While the Xbox One is an exceptional console; it’s quite pricey at $499. Enter the PS4, with a much easier to swallow $399 price tag, and with games that are just as good, despite lacking just a few exclusive titles. The PS4 is arguably the more advanced console of the two, and while there’s always the Wii U at $299, the lack of software makes it tough to recommend. But for the gamer, the PS4 is tough to beat, and you can always use it so snuggle up and watch Netflix movies, TV shows on Hulu Plus, or to enjoy some multiplayer action with a lower costing online system.

Google Chromecast – This $39 HDMI adapter gives you all the media content you can handle, at a super low price. You’ll find Netflix, Pandora, Hulu, Google Play, HBO Go and YouTube just to name a few. Heck, you can even find a virtual fireplace just in time for Valentine’s Day. Nothing says couples like cuddling up with some hot chocolate and watching movies together. It works for everyone!
