With Valentine’s Day just a week away, it’s time to make your reservations if you plan to dine out for the occasion. Chances are, Italian has come up as an option for your cuisine of choice for the night. Perhaps it’s all the red sauce, the natural pairing with wine, or even the famous scene of Lady and the Tramp sharing a plate of pasta. Whatever the reason, Italian cuisine is often thought of when you think of romantic dining. But where should you go? To make your decision a little easier, and to give you more unique options than going to the standard chain restaurant on Street Road, here are your top five Italian spots in Lower Bucks County, PA and what you can look forward to this Valentine’s Day.

With their famous complementary tomato bread and delicious desserts, Lamberti’s delivers exceptional food from start to finish. During Valentine’s Day weekend, they’ll be featuring all of their usual favorites plus several special items chosen to make your holiday dinner memorable.

La Cena Ristorante: Featuring an incredible weeknight happy hour and live entertainment Wednesday – Saturday, La Cena in Bensalem is bound to become one of your favorite spots. On an ordinary night, visit between 4:30 and 6:30 for their drink specials and complimentary buffet in the lounge area. Stay for dinner and choose something off their menu of Italian favorites. If you’re looking for something special to celebrate Valentine’s Day, be sure to make a reservation for Saturday, February 11 or Tuesday, February 14. Instead of their standard menu, La Cena will be offering special items including heart-shaped crab cakes, shell fish for two, surf and turf and many other items selected just for the occasion.

Annabella: Located in historic Bristol Borough, Annabella is a charming BYO with amazing food. Choose from an extensive menu of antipasti, chicken, veal, pasta dishes and homemade desserts. With special items written daily on their blackboard, Annabella always has something new for you to try. Small and intimate, reservations are strongly recommended any night of the week. While normally closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, Annabella is opening just for Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, February 14. Menu details haven’t been released yet; however, they never disappoint. Maggio’s: From pizza to flounder francaise, Maggio’s in Southampton has something for everyone. And best of all, everything is freshly prepared daily on the premises. In addition to their everyday favorites, Maggio’s will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special menu for the entire month of February. Appetizers for two, entrees such as the duet of filet mignon and grilled shrimp brochette…each item has been chosen to create a romantic meal perfect for the occasion. On Valentine’s Day, they will be offering a limited menu of special items including mussels, eggplant rollatini, scallops and other dishes selected for the night.
