Myth #4 - You have to workout your abs everyday
You don't have to workout your legs, biceps, or any other muscle of your body everyday, so why workout your abs everday? Muscle is muscle no matter where it is on your body. After an intense workout all our muscles need at least a day of rest to recover and reap the benefits of the workout. When rest is not given to a muscle, this too can lead to overtraining of a muscle and in the end give you little to no results at all. So give your abs some rest in between workouts if you want real results.
Myth #5 - Do the same ab exercise routine every time for killer abs
If you do the same ab exercise routine every time you workout your abs, your abs are going to get bored and plateau. Plateaus occur because our bodies have adapted to the stress, or exercise routine, already. In order to avoid a plateau change up your ab exercises every now and then. This could be done by adding some weight, doing the exercise slower or faster (while maintaining good form), or doing different ab exercises altogether.
