1.Find a program that you enjoy doing, and that you will continue to do day in and day out. One of the main fitness tips that you can follow is to exercise every day. This helps you to use up the fuel that you consume (food) and will allow you to spend a lot less time being concerned about how much food you are eating.

2. Use an application on your phone that helps you to keep track of the calories that you eat and the calories that you are using in exercise. This is important because many people tend to "guess" how many calories they are eating and this is simply not effective. Keep track of everything that passes over your lips and exactly how much exercise you are doing.

3. Set some realistic goals. If you need to lose weight, then plan to lose 8 pounds in two months and write that goal down on a piece of paper. Take a picture of yourself and put it together with your goal on the fridge so that you look at it every time you plan to open the fridge for a snack. This is a visual that will keep you motivated and on track. Don't be too hard on yourself if you slip up at all. Everyone has a little "cheat" here and there, what is important is getting back in line with your end goal right away after that cheat.
