Since Obama has seen fit to break the single biggest promise we make to our soldiers and deny them the one fundamental benefit that makes military service a door into a better world for individuals of any and every background, it seems a review of his wildly out-of-touch spending priorities is in order.
Here are the top 20 ways Obama can free up some funding and pull the knife out of our military's back:
20) Stop offering high-paying federal internships that don't even need to exist, in the middle of a supposed government hiring freeze.
19) Stop wasting money on ill-conceived partisan "stimulus" schemes and bailing out failing companies, pointlessly enabling them to rip off taxpayers for billions of dollars.
18) Stop funding impotent, corrupt organizations like the UN, which always oppose U.S. interests and sovereignty.
17) Stop trying to explode already out-of-control federal spending to potentially catastrophic levels (on everything but soldiers).
16) Stop annihilating revenues through wildly excessive taxation on job-creators and crippling, exhaustive over-regulation that slows the economy to a crawl.
15) Stop breaking every promise we were made on transparency and ending pork-barrel spending.
14) Stop obstructing and undermining revenue-generating American energy exploration and targeting energy companies with frivolous federal lawsuits.
13) Stop funding one corrupt, disastrous "green" energy company (Obama donor) after another, forcing through "green" technologies that don't work, and wasting truckloads of taxpayer dollars on bogus environmental scams.
12) Stop spending taxpayer dollars launching bogus, coercive lawsuits against any state that dares to commit the hate crime of defending itself against an illegal invasion of foreign criminals or checking IDs at the polls.
11) Stop sending trillions of dollars to foreign countries.
10) Stop paying people to be jobless for years, and luring them into nanny state failure and dependence on the taxpayer's dime.
9) Stop giving tax cuts to Hollywood millionaires (Obama donors) who constantly trash, undermine and root against this country.
8) Stop giving huge partisan payoffs to federal unions (Obama donors) and shielding them from every major spending cut...as everyone else takes pay cuts and struggles to make ends meet.
7) Stop spending over $1 billion per year on Obama's vacations and incessant golf outings.
6) Stop giving pay raises to Congress, Joe Biden and federal workers.
5) Stop giving tax dollars to Planned Parenthood to kill more babies under Obamacare (which Democrats told us would never happen).
4) Repeal Obama's illegal, economy-killing health care takeover, saving at least $2.6 trillion.
3) Stop supplying weapons and funding to Islamic terrorists who hate our guts, burn our flag and vow to destroy our allies...and even recruiting them to work for the State Department.
2) Stop giving tuition assistance to illegal immigrants...and Food Stamps, and welfare checks, and Medicare, and Obamacare (which Democrats told us would never happen).
1) Stop abusing the powers of the Oval Office for partisan gain by making a calculated effort to hurt as many people as possible with deliberately excruciating and disruptive spending cuts (like tuition assistance for soldiers) to manufacture political leverage--the signature of a tyrant.
Otherwise, perhaps those who put their lives on the line to protect and defend this country should just try starting a soldiers' union that gives money to Democrats, or renouncing their citizenship and illegally breaking back into the country, marching down our streets with foreign flags and demanding every imaginable taxpayer-funded handout under the Sun to get their education benefits back.
There simply aren't many options when dealing with a tyrannical partisan fanatic who only speaks the language of Democrat power. The problem isn't with finding the money. It's with Obama's astonishingly corrupt priorities.
