Every February we celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving flowers, candy and cards to those we love, or taking someone special for a special night out with dinner and entertainment. Here are a cross sections of things to do and gifts to give on Valentine's Day

On Friday the 14th The Deck will be featuring a special a-la-carte 3-course menu, with champagne and live music by Jon Salazar, for Valentine's Day. Guests can reserve a 'Beachside Bubbly Table' with unobstructed views of the beautiful sunset, to do this they must purchase a bottle of sparkling wine or champagne valued at more than $45. Each couple dining at 'The Deck' will also receive a complimentary box of sweets.
This beachside dining experience specializes in seafood and creative cocktails, will be open rain or shine, as they can cover it with a seasonal tent to keep guests warm. 2. Valentine's Day at Michael Mina's Stonehill Tavern

The St Regis Monarch Beach Hotel is celebrating Valentine's Day in their 'Forbes Four-Star Stonehill Tavern with a special five-course menu. At a cost of $175 per person guests can experience Mina's trademark dishes such as the 'Signature Lobster Pot Pie'; the Charlotte of Asparagus; and the A-5 Japanese Tagima-gyu. Dessert includes their special 'Hotel a Chocolate Symphony', and for an additional $95 wine pairings are available from the award-winning Sommelier -Paul Coker's list.

3. Unique Florals

This centrally located floral shop in Anaheim, was the winner of the 2010 "Battle of the Flower Designers". They features both California and imported flowers, with an emphasis on the freshest blooms of the season. This Valentine's Day they will hand-deliver flowers, not only to Anaheim residents, but to many other Orange County cities.
Hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday; Saturday they close at 3 p.m. and while they are closed on Sundays, they will deliver flowers if it is a special event. Order online 24 hours, check it out here.

These romantic floral designs include red roses, a symbol of love, and are priced from $75 to $200, they can be delivered nationwide or locally in Laguna Niguel.
5. American Tavern Eatery

Set inside the Hotel Menage, the American Tavern Eatery offers comfort foods, craft beers and wine by the glass. On Friday the 14 they are having a special Valentine's Day six-course dinner for couples, with wine pairing $99, without wine $75.
The Menage Hotel is situated at Harbor Blvd and Ball Road within easy reach of Downtown Disney, and Disneyland, making it easy for diners to visit there before or after dinner. Reservations can be made here.
7. For those who prefer to stay at home, where she makes the dinner and he provides the drinks here is a special cocktail suggestion. When combined with the following recipe, it makes for a nice romantic night at home.
The Tiki Bowl from Trader Vic. Ingredients include 2oz orange juice, 1.5oz lemon juice, .5oz almond orgeat, 1oz Puerto Rican light rum, 1oz Jamaican dark rum, 1oz Brandy, two tiki bowls or hurricane glasses, and Gardenias to garnish with.lender with.
Add all the ingredients to a blender with one scoop of shaved ice, blend, pour into bowls or hurrican glass, add ice cubes and decorate with the gardenias. Easy and enjoyable
8. This recipe was posted by Tina Nicotera it can be made with Lobster or crabmeat.
Ingredients - 2 (8oz) beef tenderloin filets, salt and pepper to taste, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 2 slices bacon,1/4 cup butter- divided, 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning, 1/4 lb lobster tail - cleaned and chopped.
Directions - set the oven to 500 degrees F. Sprinkle the tenderloins with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, wrap each filet with bacon and secure with a toothpick, place on a broiling pan and broil - 8 to 10 minutes each side for medium rare, adjust for how you like them.
While the filet is cooking melt 1/4 cup butter with 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning; stir in lobster meat and cook until done. Spoon lobster meat over the cooked tenderloins then return them to the broiler until the lobster meat begins to brown. While this is cooking heat the remaining 1/4 cup in a small saucepan over medium heat, until it browns. Spoon the browned butter over the steaks, then sprinkle with the remaining Old Bay seasoning.
Eat and enjoy with the 'Tiki Bowl' from above.
