Top 10 reasons to shop for gluten-free items at Ingles Markets

Leah McGrath, the registered dietitian at Ingles Markets, composed a list on why consumers should shop for gluten-free items at their local Ingles Markets.  It has come to my attention that not everyone knows about the gluten-free items available at Ingles, so this Examiner decided to share the list.

  • GLUTEN-FREE TAGS - All stores feature special brown "GLUTEN FREE" tags.  They recently changed the color of their gluten-free tags from green to brown to make them easier to spot in the aisles.

  • GLUTEN-FREE SECTIONS - Most stores feature a dedicated gluten-free section on the Baking aisle.
  • GLUTEN-FREE SUPPORT GROUPS - Their dietitian is regularly in contact with gluten-free support groups in TN, SC, NC and GA.
  • LOW PRICES - Ingles consistently offers lower prices than specialty stores on most gluten-free items.  We also feature at least one gluten free sales and promotion every year
  • RADIO and TV SPOTS - Ingles is one of the few supermarket chains that has aired both radio and TV spots about the gluten free and celiac community.
