Totally Tboz is a reality show like no other. Although it showcases this stars show biz life, it also covers her dealing with and overcoming unimaginable health issues. Tboz, a member of the sensational r&b pop group 'TLC', has been fighting the effects of a brain tumor which left her blinded with no sense of feeling or hearing for the previous 3 years. Although she gained a few pounds, she is back and taking the industry by storm. I'm watching her as though she is a super hero because how she is able to smile throu it all dealing with people who care nothing but about the bottom line, is amazing. Chilly, the only living member is disappointed as Tboz embarks on a solo carreer. Tboz reminds me of why she was always my fav in the group and I will not be missing one episode. My eyes are glued.
The pastor wives in sisterhood is another reality show that shows a different reality of African American women. These ladies who come from and walk in all different lifestyles come together for one common cause; showing the complicated life's of walking by faith. During the first episode that I watched, I was left wondering will these women one day come to blows? Dominique Scott, pastor wife, shocked viewers with her past of being a child prostitute since the age of 11. She said, " by age 13, men where lined up around the corner once they hear, 'this one is a child'!". She is such a blessing to be able to share her triumph with youngsters who may be going through the very same thing. Also on this show is another member of a popular girls group: Ivy Couch of Escape. Black Ink crew is a show about a tattoo parlor in Harlem owned by an African American artist. The show starts out, by showing the strange relationships between the employees, artist and the mixies, who are girls who supposedly comes around to be in the 'mix'! The receptionist gets all the way out her body and start throwing things, turning over chairs and kicking stuff. Has me wondering what is her real relationship with the owner? A new tattoo artist proves herself when she over hears others calling her fake. One artist is having a baby by a 'mixie'and the others urge him to get a paternity test. The show has all the drama of other realities shows but a different flavor as the cast are not rich and therefor show more reality that the average viewer can relate with.
Starter Wives Confidential - TLC premieres Jan 29 at 10pm and is about ex- wives and girlfriends of superstars getting their life's in order after supporting their mates before and during their rise to stardom. Floyd Mayweather, Lamar Odom and 50 cents baby mamma's all are included cast on this show.
