It was all about remakes this past weekend at the movies. Three remakes hit theaters – “About Last Night,” “RoboCop,” and “Endless Love.” On Monday, February 17, the Box Office updated their charts to feature the top 10 movies this weekend.

Despite several new films in theaters, it was all about “The LEGO Movie.” The animated film brought in an estimated $48.8 million. The box office hit started with a $60 million budget, and has successfully made over $180 worldwide. A sequel is already in the works.

Following in second place, comedy “About Last Night” came in with $27 million. The second remake, “RoboCop,” accumulated $21.5 million, landing in third place. To be fair though, the film opened on Wednesday, and the $21.5 million is only for the weekend sum. “RoboCop” is actually a hit, with over $100 million worldwide already.

Endless Love,” the final remake of the weekend, failed to bring in the lovers to theaters. The lame drama came in at number five with $13.4 million. It was beaten by “The Monuments Men,” which made $15 million.
