Both children and adults had a reason to visit the theaters this past weekend. The new film additions were “300: Rise of An Empire” and “Mr. Peabody & Sherman.” On Monday, March 10, the Box Office updated their charts to feature the top 10 movies of the weekend.

Rising to the top is sequel “300: Rise of An Empire.” The film, which stars Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, and Lena Headey, collected an estimated $45 million. It helped that the action drama was available in IMAX and IMAX 3D, to give it a bonus.

Following close behind is “Mr. Peabody & Sherman” with $32.5 million. Featuring the voices of Ty Burrell, Max Charles, and Stephen Colbert, the DreamWorks animation is one of their lowest openings.

Liam Neeson took the back-seat for his film “Non-Stop” with $32.5 million. While “The LEGO Movie” brought in another $11 million to their impressive $225 million domestic gross.
