Ximena Valero, Spring 2010 LA Fashion Week
Ximena Valero’s Spring 2010 show at LA Fashion Week was noteworthy. After a few mediocre at best shows, Valero’s eccentric, high-energy show was just what LA Fashion on Broadway needed. The models began the show by dancing, instead of walking down the runway, showing the versatility of the designs. The crowd’s attention was captured, that’s for sure.
Each and every design was super feminine, with flirty ruffles and deep V-neck cuts. Valero, who is known for her bold colors, didn’t let anyone down this season. Casual everyday ensembles, mixed with eveningwear were rocked on the runway with attitude. Valero showcases her ‘OMG’ design, which is one dress that can be worn multiple different ways, just by rearranging the straps. There was nothing that I wouldn’t wear; an easy two thumbs up for Ximena Valero.
A fashion veteran, Valero started sewing at the age of 9 years old, and went on to attend FIDM. After working as an Assistant Designer for Victoria Secret in NYC, Valero returned back to Los Angeles to start her own comprehensive line.
