Glenn Beck tried to explained conspiracy theory. AP Photo Evan Agostini
As the year ends it is time to reflect on the top 10 Glenn Beck Moments of 2009. Beck has certainly provided a fair share of entertainment this year as he has become the most prominent Obama administration opponent.
For story #9 in which Jon Stewart does his own Glenn Beck impersonation click here.
Story #7 was a moment in time in which silence spoke louder than words. Glenn Beck was attempting to explain another of his complicated Obama administration conspiracy theories on his chalkboard. Before going even deeper into a very convoluted theory Beck states "may I make a connection and see if anyone agrees with it?" After then making such a "connection" Beck asks his hand-picked panel if they agree. A few second of silence follow before Beck is finally forced to break the silence. Then once more Beck tries to make a connection only to once more not get any confirmation that his panel agrees with the crazy. At the end you can even notice Beck grin slightly as even he senses things falling apart.
It should be noted that to my knowledge these panelists did not reappear on Glenn Beck's show after this segment. The lesson learned for Glenn Beck panelists is to go along or go home.

. . . the part where he cried.
And then cried again.
And some more . . .
Haha.

I was in middle school with Glenn. He was the kid that worshiped the class bully. He did errands for him, helping to threaten other kids and then the bully got sick of him and beat him to a pulp. Maybe that's why he's such a great man now. I think he's adorable too.
My all-time favorite Beck moment.
"...anybody?"
It's hard to take Media Matters seriously. Their editorial view point limits all rational thought. They say GB is right wing. Not today he isn't. He is pretty much where every one else is in the country, just right of dead center. (sorry right-wingers the mainstream wants to claim him.) Health scare as passed by house as passed by senate is EXTREMELY unpopular. Few people outside the administration and dem leadership really undertood it back then. Most of the voters certainly did not. Probably the panel didn't either. And And I'd say it doesn't look like a tree with roots but if you're looking for answers the blackboard is a good place to start. It's erasable as new information comes in. Well everyone pretty much understands it now. It is so chocker block full of crappy legislation it is patently obvious it is a power grab. You control 17 % of the economy by any means possible well that's a lot of power. And look who benefits. Certainly not the people that need it most.
On the black board the green movement is shown as a rather large root. One can see by the contributors that feed into it that here is a large cash stream being move into that root. It isn't a stretch of the imagination to conclude that if you control carbon you'll pretty much control everything else.
Now I see the future by looking into my review mirror because that's pretty much all that's available. I can't tell you how it will end but I can tell you how it will begin. Maybe I should be fair and balanced and let you decide. Have you ever wondered what happens if too much power is concentrated by too few people. History isn't kind to us in this regard. Right now if I desired great power I'd head for the green movement because that is where it is going to come from.
Though you try so hard to discredit Beck, the joke is really on you. You're the blogger "in your mom's basement", while Beck has a successful following and has really made something for himself. He is a man, and is therefore not perfect. You can nitpick his every move, but the bottom line is, he is a whistle blower that the White House is very aware about, and will do anything in their power to shut him up. Too bad, because Glenn will keep flapping his double chin yapper forever, so get used to it!!!
Joe says:
"...he is a whistle blower..."
we just don't like the hole he is using to blow the whistle.
Walrus,
I think you don't care who or what is blowing the whistle. You just don't like it blown.
Aren't we all Americans. And shouldn't we all want to know the truth? Why isn't the debate about what is and isn't true that he says?

anyone who believes in a drug addict (Beck) and a quiter (Palin), should not be talking about wanting to know the truth...you have the truth before you and choose to deny it.
I'm really sorry to shatter your moment, walrus, but your divine savior Obama... yeah... he was a drug addict to...
Oh! I'm sorry! Were, were you sayin' somethin' about not believing a drug addict? So true...
Oh, and get owned.

I serve no god or savior...Obama is but one intelligent man out of many...I voted him to do a job, I did not raise him to a God...yes he is a man and therefore fallible...no man is unflawed, I know this, Obama knows this...he is there to work for us...I analyze what he says and does before deciding if he is right or wrong...The problem with Beckites is that don't analyze Beck, they just blindly follow eating up the doo he leaves behind.
as for "owned"...grow some balls and quit using gamers' lingo on an adult forum.
