The quickest way to stay on budget during the new year is to stay out of the drive-thru!  Bring your own lunch to work and you can easily save $25 or more per week, and that's a easy goal.  That's around $108 saved per month and who wouldn't want that?

Stay on budget with this easy and delicious lunch idea.  Using store-bought tortillas, jarred sauce (or homemade, canned sauce would be perfect here) and whatever toppings you have in the fridge you can create an wonderful lunch for free and leave save that fast-food money.  Add any spices you like on your pizza (Italian mix, basil, Pizza seasoning, red pepper flakes, etc.) to jazz up the sauce and voila!  Your own tortilla pizza and ready in under five minutes.

To make it, simply place the tortilla on a microwavable plate and spread the sauce as you would on pizza crust, added the spices on top of that.  Then, layer your cheese, pepperoni, sausage or other toppings and microwave until the cheese is melted.  Roll it up and eat as a wrap or cut in to spirals for the kids.  Just be sure you let it cool down!

Delicious, easy and budget-friendly.  What's not to love?

Enjoy!
