The concert security hired by the Sonar deserve a nod just for being patient and careful with the roughly 2,000 people in attendance. It was hot as blazes, most everyone up front was either rowdy or drunk (or both), and many of the stage barricades were wobbly. Despite the odds, these gents were non-confrontational with crowd-surfers and made a point of keeping everyone safe throughout the weekend. They even had to break up what sounded like a nasty fight right outside the venue's gates on Saturday evening, so their willingness to go above and beyond was well demonstrated. Security teams at metal shows often get a bad rap, sometimes with good reason, but in this venue they did their jobs and did them right.
