Cross Mötorhead with the Mad Max series and Destroyer 666 will be the result. This thermonuclear Australian export has visited the States before, but they were still well-received and rightfully so. Guitarist/vocalist KK Warslut and company followed Aura Noir on Sunday night and proceeded to rip the crowd a new one. They were loud and brutish, and their songs seem mostly inspired by carpet bombing campaigns. It's rare to see a band out-muscle even the most resolutely masculine death metal acts like Belphegor, but Destroyer 666 played with enough brawn and bluster to make most bands look like a girls' school talent show.
