Toothpaste alert: Air travel to Russia most threatened over explosives

A toothpaste alert has been issued by authorities for passengers flying to America from Russia due to potential terrorist attacks, Inquisitr reports Feb. 5. The precaution was brought up by a law enforcement source even though there were no "concrete threats" as the Winter Olympics in Sochi are just around the corner.

“It’s real. It’s real and we got very good information,” an unidentified source told CNN. “It’s based on a credible source. We’re taking it seriously so are other countries taking it very seriously.”

The toothpaste alert was not elaborated upon, but the government insider only spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Security at Russian airports have banned liquids in carry-on luggage.

Safety of Americans with the upcoming Olympics in Russia has been paramount of major concern. Since 9/11 officials take all threats seriously. With the toothpaste alert following a credible source's information, it is reassuring to know intelligence is aware of any attempts to harm airline passengers.
