Front man for bands Tool and A Perfect Circle, Maynard James Keenan, in an interview with Spin Magazine on Feb. 12, discusses his upcoming projects. The band Tool can best be described as a true original. Anti-establishment, non-conformist lyrics coupled with driving hard rock-metal riffs. Songs like "Sober" and "Aenima" are the band's signature sound.
The man behind the music, Maynard James Keenan, announced the release of a new EP album with his third band, Puscifer. The album features a cover of the band Queen's iconic classic hit, "Bohemian Rhapsody." The track appears on the group's latest EP, "Donkey Punch the Night." due out on Feb. 19, 2013.
Spin reports, "Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" now rests in the twisted hands of Tool front man Maynard James Keenan, who has just recorded an earnest and most faithful rendition with his avant-shock group Puscifer."
Spin continues, "The track appears on the group's latest EP, Donkey Punch the Night (out February 19), alongside two originals, some remixes, and a riotous interpretation of the German heavy metal group, Accepts' classic foot-stomping "Balls to the Wall. It's a short release that ties into Keenan's philosophy of putting out Puscifer music only when he feels like it, something he began doing since 2007."
