Decorator to the stars and star of 'Million Dollar Decorators' and 'Property Envy', Mary McDonald just released her first designer collaboration for a limited edition makeup set with Too Faced Cosmetics called 'Joy To The Girls'.
The exclusive limited edition set that was launched on Oct. 1, and came about when Mary McDonald was hired to redecorate Jerrod Blandino co founder and creative director of Too Faced's home. Out of that personal relationship developed a professional one where the two decided to collaborate on an all new designer limited edition collection.
“This is a really unique collaboration because it started off as a personal relationship first,” he told Women’s Wear Daily. “[McDonald] has an amazing aesthetic. It’s modern, yet classic. She is ‘Too Faced’ in every way. With this collection we want people to be able to get a piece of this universe where Jerrod and Mary live. He designs faces and she designs places!”
The Joy to the Girls collection of four makeup palettes is packaged in Mary McDonald’s signature chevron print. The first palette, also called Joy to the Girls comes with 15 limited edition shadows, a full size LashGASM Mascara and Glamour Guide with three different looks to create. The second palette called The Jingle All the Way comes with 11 shadows, blush and bronzer and when you pop out the palette it turns into an iPhone 5 case. The All I Want for Christmas palette is a full face collection and comes with La Creme Lip Cream in Believe Custom Shade!, a full size shadow insurance, a blush/eye shadow trio compact, a mini perfect eyes eyeliner and a mini Lash Injection Mascara. The last collection, Be Merry and Bright (an ULTA only exclusive) contains two separate palettes each with six eye shadows, a bronzer/highlighter, blush and a full size Lash Injection Mascara.
Prices for the collection start at $25 to $46 and are available online at Too Faced and on ULTA's website. Locally all four of the the Joy to the Girls limited edition collection can be purchased at ULTA located in Evansville Pavilion on the corner of Lloyd Expressway and Burkhardt Rd.
