Tony Stewart visits Rochester Knighthawks on February 2nd

NASCAR Sprint Cup champ Tony Stewart will attend his first National Lacrosse League game on Saturday, February 2nd when he visits the Rochester Knighthawks at the Blue Cross Arena on Rochester, New York. The Knighthawks will face the Washington Stealth at 8 p.m. that evening, and fans can attend both the game and a meet-and-greet with the three-time NASCAR champ with a special ticket package.

Stewart’s relationship with the Knighthawks stems from dirt track racing: Knighthawks owner Curt Styres and his brother Glenn own Ontario, Canada’s Ohsweken Speedway, where Stewart has competed on occasion; Glenn is also a driver on the DIRT circuit. Stewart drove a Rochester Knighthawks-sponsored sprint car to victory in an Empire Sprint Series heat race at Canandaigua (NY) Speedway in August 2011.

Fans of the NASCAR star can purchase the “Tony Stewart Pit Pass” package at knighthawks.net. For $250 per package, fans receive admission to a meet-and-greet with Stewart at The Radisson Riverside Hotel beginning at 5:30 p.m., a “Pit Pass” credential, an 8”x10” photo of Stewart, hors d’oeuvres and a ticket to the K-Hawks/Stealth game. Tickets for other Knighthawks games, including Saturday, January 19th and Saturday, February 16th match-ups against the Buffalo Bandits, can also be purchased through the aforementioned site.
