Tony Stewart has been quiet ever since the accident where he ran into Kevin Ward Jr. He has also not been on the race track, but that is all changing now. On Friday, Car and Driver shared an update and Tony is finally speaking out. Fans are ready to hear what he has to say.

When Stewart spoke out, it was obvious that he was shaken up talking about it all. This was his first public appearance since the accident and he shared that it will affect him forever. Fox Sports, shared some of what Tony had to say, "I've taken the last couple weeks off out of respect for Kevin and his family and also to cope with the accident in my own way. It's given me the time to think about life and how easy it is to take it for granted. I miss my team, my teammates, and I miss being back in the race car. I think getting back in the car this week with my racing family will help me get through this difficult time."

Tony Stewart said that he has been praying for the family of Kevin Ward Jr. He also thanked everyone that has stood by his side during this time. He will finally be back on the track this weekend and NASCAR fans are ready to see him where he belongs on the track. Tony appreciates the respect of everyone.
