This past Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Race at Pocono was a great win for the over-rated Dale Earnhardt Jr. Unfortunately for Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart. Early on, it seemed as if Kevin Harvick had the car to beat until another crazy incident sent him to pit road with a cut tire. Keselowski was passed while trying to avoid Danica Patrick and Tony Stewart pitted and must have forgotten that you have to slow down.
Midway through the race, two time winner this year, Kevin Harvick had a fast car again, as he has had all year long. If he isn’t winning or finishing in the top 5, he is having some type of freakish bad luck like engine problems or cut tires. Usually when these incidents happen, Harvick is in the lead and has led the most laps to that point. He would definitely be the leader in points if he had been able to avoid such problems.
Tony Stewart started 12th after having a fast car all weekend. He claims that his car was fast right off of the truck, and he showed it by having the second fastest practice lap in final practice. Tony needs to win a race in order to get into the chase for the championship. He usually wins most of his races in the heat, so it is his time. It seemed like he was going to win at Pocono until a late caution came out and all had to pit. Tony was first, with a huge lead, but was too fast in 4 different places. Maybe next week.
