Right now there is no team hotter than Stewart-Haas Racing. With the exception of Danica Patrick, who is struggling now, the other drivers are showing a lot of speed and a lot of momentum. Tony Stewart has yet to win a race to ensure his way into the Chase, but Kevin Harvick leads the way with two wins while Kurt Busch brought home a victory at Martinsville.
Tony Stewart had troubles early this year with mechanical issues, but since then he has had two top five’s and four top ten’s which have brought him from 32 in points to 12th in a short period of time. It will not be long before Tony gets that win, and even if he does not in the first 26 races, he can still get in on points. I would bet that he gets multiple wins soon.
Other teams have shown a lot of speed, but one driver has yet to make it to the winner’s circle. Team Hendrick has the Daytona 500 in his pocket with driver Dale Earnhardt Jr and Jeff Gordon have been running very well. Gordon is holding onto a slim lead in the overall points as Jr has fallen steadily. It may not be soon before we see Jimmie Johnson in victory lane before too long.
