Wall, Street skating? The world's most well known skateboarder Tony Hawk has been a business man for a really long time. He has been head of Birdhouse Projects since it's inception back in 1992. His videogame partnership with EA Sports has grossed millions of dollars and helped the software giant unintentionally get millions of kids hyped on skateboarding, Point being when you think Tony Hawk you think skateboarding not business man. But Tony Hawk being not only an A+ skateboarder but A+ business man got to enjoy the ultimate crossover. He was allowed to ring the bell at the opening of the New York Stock Exchange. While things were getting started he was allowed to manual his way through the brokers without getting broke off.
After 9-11 they installed large metal wedges in front of the building that actually houses the Stock Exchange. These wedges are designed to stop terrorist vehicle from destroying the building but they make a perfect skate spot. Large smooth metal wedge with lots of smooth run up. Despite being an ideal skate spot don't try to ride it though or they will treat you like a terrorist. I was there with a crew from Baltimore and we almost got accosted by a patriotic citizen who deemed us threat and then a huge Homeland Security detail came with the intention of confiscating boards and giving tickets. Luckily we got away with our boards and ticket free. So our visit to Wall Street was very different experience then Tony's. - Jason Chapman The National Skate Examiner
