Tony Hawk -- skateboarding legend, video game star, and now wife-swapper extraordinnaire.
The New York Post reported yesterday that Hawk divorced his third wife, Lhotse Merriam, for his best friend's wife, Cathy Goodman. Hawk's best friend, Matt Goodman, is also his business parter.
Reportedly, Merriam found a plane ticket in December that Hawk had booked for Cathy so that she could join Hawk in San Fracisco. Hawk filed for divorce in February, and the two have one child together (Hawk has three sons from his previous two marriages). Hawk and Cathy were recently spotted in New York together -- further evidence that they are a couple.
Hawk and Goodman had been friends since childhood and Goodman stood as a groomsman at every one of Hawk's three weddings. The two men founded action sports movie company 900 Films together. In addition to typical divorce costs, one wonders how this new relationship Hawk has started with his friend's wife will affect his 120 million dollar empire.
Goodman and Cathy were married for nearly 20 years and have two children together.
