Now that the fall “All Stars” season of “Dancing With the Stars” has been confirmed, fans are buzzing about which former competitors will be brought back. There is a lot of talk already about the possibility of Kate Gosselin being brought back, and there are plenty of viewers who shudder at the thought of it. It seems quite possible her former partner Tony Dovolani shutters at the idea as well, though he is usually quite careful with his words. In a new report out Friday, Dovolani carefully answers questions about the new season and who he'd like to dance with if he returns.
Wetpaint chatted with Tony at the opening of his new Dance With Me studio in Stamford, CT. Of course Tony has quite a few former partners that could be brought back for the “Dancing With the Stars” All-Star season, and Wetpaint asked who he's hoping returns. Tony said, “Well Melissa [Rycroft] or Stacy Kieber, or Susan Lucci. I liked most of my stars.” Obviously he didn't mention Kate Gosselin, so Wetpaint asked about the rumors she's on the list of potentials. Tony simply replied, “I don't know anything about that.” Then Wetpaint asked if he would be willing to dance with Kate again, and he kept it simple and professional when he replied, “I will dance with whoever they put me with.”
Fans of the show remember that this wasn't exactly a partnership made in heaven. Tony kept a cool head, but Kate was surrounded by rumors she was difficult behind-the-scenes, and of course it could be said dancing didn't come naturally to her. So far viewers don't know if producers will bring back celebrities surrounded by drama, a la Kate Gosselin and Bristol Palin, or celebrities who danced well and fell just short of the mirror ball trophy. Which celebrities are you hoping will be brought back this fall? “Dancing With the Stars” returns to ABC this September.
