Tony Danza is officially single. Per “TMZ,” a judge signed off on his divorce papers on Wednesday.
Danza filed for divorce from Tracy Robinson in 2011, although the couple has been living separately since 2006. “Irreconcilable differences” were cited as the reason for the split. Danza and Robinson were married for 24 years and have two daughters, Katherine and Emily.
The 62-year-old actor is most famous for his roles on “Who’s The Boss” which aired from 1984 to 1992, and “Taxi” which ran from 1978 to 1983. Danza has two children, Marc and Gina, from his first four-year marriage to Rhonda Yeoman who he met and married in college.
Prior to acting, Danza was successful in the boxing ring. In 1975, he entered the New York Golden Gloves boxing tournament going by the name of “Dangerous” Tony Danza. In August of 1976, he started his professional boxing career as a middleweight with a 9-3 record. Ironically, Danza was discovered by a producer in 1978 during a gym workout for the part of Tony Banta on the TV show “Taxi.” And the rest is history.
