Tony Calvento receives criticisms due to a confession about Sen. Bong Revilla

Just this afternoon, June 17, 2014, Tony Calvento, one of the most respected print and broadcast journalists updated his official Facebook account, but instead of getting the approval of his followers, Tony received negative reaction from them. You guys know that he is supporting Vhong Navarro in his quest for truth and justice especially when it comes to his battle against Cedric Lee, Zimmer Raz, Deniece Cornejo, Jed Fernandez, Ferdinand Guerrero, JP Calma and Bernice Lee.

Those people are facing criminal charges filed by actor-TV host Vhong Navarro due to an incident at Forbeswood Heights Condominium last Jan. 22. Vhong was allegedly extorted and beaten up by Cedric Lee’s group; luckily, the actor got the support of Tony Calvento aside from the fact that he has Atty. Alma Mallonga on his side to pursue his case against the perpetrators.

Anyway, the court is now weighing the case and sooner or later, all the accused including Cedric Lee, Zimmer Raz and Deniece Cornejo who are currently detained at the NBI and CIDG/ATCU detention cells will be transferred to the Taguig City Jail. However, despite his diligence to help the actor-TV host, Tony Calvento still receives negative comments from his supporters online.

In his updated post, the journalist revealed that he and Sen. Bong Revilla have been friends for more than thirty years now. He also confirmed that the senator’s bags are ready and is willing to go to jail if the SandiganBayan will issue an arrest warrant against him for the Plunder case filed by the Ombudsman.

Tony Calvento already knew that most of his Facebook followers do not like Sen. Bong Revilla because of the Php10B PDAF Scam, but he immediately clarified that he is not condoning the senator’s actions especially when proven wrong. He asked for his followers’ indulgence especially those who find his post offensive, unfortunately, they still criticize him for his affirmation.
