Just this evening, May 12, 2014 (U.S. time) or this morning, May 13, 2014 (Philippine time), Tony Calvento, avid supporter of actor-TV host Vhong Navarro updated his official Facebook page. The journalist said Judge Esperanza Cortez is expected to make a ruling on the motion for stay at the NBI or the transfer to the Taguig City Jail of both Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz, two of the prime suspects in the mauling incident that left serious injuries to the actor-TV host, on May 16.

As you all know, the two of them filed a motion to stay before the court because they believe that they are more comfortable at the National Bureau of Investigation detention cell. In an interview with reporters a day after their arrival in Manila, Zimmer Raz, one of the suspects in the mauling incident that almost changed the life of Vhong Navarro and Deniece Cornejo, revealed that he is afraid of being targeted by Taguig City Jail inmates.

Just minutes after reading his revelation, the netizens especially the fans and supporters of actor Vhong Navarro took to their social media accounts and expressed their resentment. All of them said Judge Paz Esperanza Cortez should not give favorable decision to the two accused and send them to Taguig City Jail immediately.

Unfortunately, Judge Cortez is still examining the motion they filed, and according to some observers, the lady judge is also willing to visit the city jail and conduct ocular inspection to determine whether the two accused are safe or not. Obviously, this is going to be a very long but exciting battle between Vhong Navarro and Cedric Lee because both of them have good lawyers, Vhong has Atty. Alma Mallonga, journalist Tony Calvento and most especially, he has solid evidence while Cedric Lee is being guided by Atty. Howard Calleja.
