Using his official Facebook page, Tony Calvento made an announcement this morning, May 3, 2014 regarding the possible arrest of Deniece Cornejo, Jed Fernandez or Ferdinand Guerrero. According to him, another suspect in the serious illegal detention case will fall in just a matter of 24 hours.
The journalist did not reveal the identity of the suspect, but according to some observers, the suspect will be Deniece because of some reports claiming that she is willing to surrender. Several days ago, the authorities, particularly the NBI arrested Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz, two of the seven accused in the Vhong Navarro mauling incident that happened in a condominium unit last Jan. 22.
They were arrested in the Town of Oras, Eastern Samar, a week after Judge Paz Esperanza Cortez issued the arrest warrants for the non-bailable serious illegal detention case filed by the "It's Showtime" host at the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 271. According to the report, Denece Cornejo, Jed Fernandez and Ferdinand Guerrero were also hiding in that area, but for some reasons, the other three accused have escaped from the rapid action of the NBI.
After the arrest of Cedric and Zimmer, DOJ Sec. Leila De Lima immediately instructed the authorities to bring them to Manila, aside from that, the secretary also encouraged the other accused to surrender themselves and prove their innocence in the proper forum. But like what the reports said, the other accused led by Deniece Cornejo and Ferdinand Guerrero have failed to surrender, and as of this morning, they're still hiding.
Meanwhile, because of his advocacy to help the victims of injustice, Tony Calvento, avid supporter of actor-TV host Vhong Navarro, decided to keep the fans and supporters of Vhong updated. Three nights ago, he revealed that some people are ready to have the actor assassinated, after hearing the report, DOJ Sec. Leila De Lima immediately agreed to provide security for Vhong to avoid the evil purpose of the hired gunmen.
