No one else in popular American music has had such longevity and level of success as Tony Bennett. In the last decade alone he has sold ten million records. Tony Bennett will be appearing with his daughter, Antonia Bennett, at Chrysler Hall on March 16, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Music seemed to always be a part of this singer's life. He developed a love for music as a child as he heard Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong and James Durante on the radio. As a teenager he sang while waiting on tables and later enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II. During his deployment he sang with military bands in Europe. He soon started vocal studies at the American Theatre Wing School. In 1946 he sang for the first time ever in a nightclub, the Shangra La in Astoria. However, he didn't get his big break until 1949, when Bob Hope saw him performing in Greenwich Village in New York City. The rest is history as this amazing artist has collected Grammy after Grammy, including the Grammy Lifetime Award. Tickets for this show range from $79.00 to $99.00.
