Tonik needs a home and he’s hoping it is with you

People often say that some dogs have a sort of appearance that mimics a human.
The pictures of Tonik, attached to this article, have a strange resemblance to a little boy.

Someone at the Huffington Post first noticed that eerie resemblance. Since then, the dog’s picture has received lots of press. Since Tonik has been up for adoption from the Homeward Bound Animal Welfare Group in Mishawaka, Indiana, the popularity of his picture is hopefully finding him a forever home.

This adorable little dog is a Poodle / Shih Tsu mix. He was originally found in a kill shelter in Kentucky. Now he’s been given another chance to find a loving home – with as endearing a face as his, finding that home should not be hard.

Homeward Bound put Tonik’s ad into Petfinder reading like this:

“There is a very sweet boy in there who is trying to figure things out and enjoy people. But this is not the dog for someone who just wants a dog who looks like a little boy. Tonik needs a caring home.”

The dog definitely has a unique expression and will make himself a great home. The Petfinder ad also says that Tonik has not had much socialization and will need patience and love to work into a perfect dog companion.

This cute picture was taken by professional pet photographer Renny Mills who did a great job capturing Tonik’s shy but inquisitive personality. Tonik can be adopted for a $250 donation. Homeward Bound does not transport their pets, so Tonik will need to be picked up.

Hopefully, someone out there needs a special little guy to love and coddle. Tonik would love to find safe haven with you. Do you have that special home?
